What we recommend. |
Engagement strategy should be a key component addressed at the inception of a project and be seen as central to it. The nature of the community and the audience will determine the most effective means of securing successful engagement. The extent to which agencies are prepared to devolve decision-making to that community should be considered. Interactive engagement is likely to be more successful and achieve greater buy-in than more traditional techniques of public meetings etc., emphasising the shift towards more participatory forms of decision-making and engagement.
